Today our young authors met with writing partners to "Brainstorm Out Loud." Even our favorite published authors get stuck every now and then and can't figure out where to begin. This is where a writing partner can help!
After selecting a topic from their heart map or memory map, writing partners got together and took turns asking each other the following questions to Brainstorm Out Loud:
1) What is your topic? Tell me about it!
2) When did it happen?
3) Who were you with?
4) How did you feel?
5) What happened first, next, last?
6) How did it end?
These are great questions you can use at home to be your child's writing partner. Have your child start a writing journal and practice writing at home!
