We'd like to request a couple of last items that will make some art projects possible this month.
We will need: -One roll of brown paper (any kind will do, but large enough to paint murals, and strong enough to hold up after being painted with poster paint) -Three 11 x 15 watercolor pads (enough for 25 sheets- any kind will do, but should be a substantial weight paper) These things are available online, but should also be available locally at Utrecht, Pratt Store, or even Staples. Having these things ASAP would be wonderful! Thank you again for all of your support and generosity this year! First of all, we owe a big shout out to all families who lent us fans and/or sent emails on our behalf to expedite the repair of our air conditioner!
Another big shout out to the PA for offering to fund a replacement air conditioner if this one has kicked the bucket. THANK YOU!!! We are encouraging Willoughby to get water as often as possible and keep their water bottles at their sides to stay hydrated. Feel free to send in Gatorade, coconut water, Vitamin Water, or any other beverage to keep them hydrated throughout the day. It is also a good idea to put sunscreen on in the morning and even send your child to school with a bottle to reapply before recess. Thanks again for your support as we try to beat the heat! Friday afternoon Willoughby hit the playground and tried to keep cool!
We were very busy- some of us took shelter from the burning sun in the shade, we played Money Bags and Zingo!, made origami (paper cups we could really drink out of!), played on the swings, wrote letters to the tooth fairy, and even observed evaporation! |
